Self-isolation upon Arrival in South Korea
Travelers are required to quarantine for 14 days on arrival in South Korea. All arrivals – regardless of nationality and length of stay – are also required to be tested for coronavirus (COVID-19) after entering South Korea. Arrivals will be taken for testing and must remain at the testing facility until a negative result has been secured. All arrivals are also subject to a compulsory 14 days quarantine at a government designated facility. The costs of the quarantine are to be born by the visitor and currently run at 120,000KRW (approximately 95 Euro) per day. Travelers with vaccination certificates from countries other than South Korea are not currently eligible for an automatic quarantine exemption. We, i.e. ISE and the Korean Organizing Committee, are unable to provide any administrative help to apply for quarantine exemption at this moment.
